Food Intake
The federal government has made nutritional recommendations for more than 100 years. The Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) have been established that can be used for planning and assessing diets and healthy people in the United States and Canada. It is a set of four reference values for the intake of nutrients and food components. The right types of food, intake and exercise can lead to a long and healthy life.

My diet did not provide an adequate variety of foods. Meat and Beans was the only category that I got enough nutrients and calories from. As said in an earlier paragraph a food pyramid will be placed on the refrigerator as a reminder of what types of food are important to maintain a healthy diet. A greater emphasis will be place when shopping at the grocery store to purchase and consume wide variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and milk. A conscious effort will be placed on a daily basis to follow the proper amounts of servings and types of food to maintain a healthy diet.
Kelly Watsons appears to have a better balanced diet compared to mine. Kelly Watson has more of a variety of foods in her daily diet which leads to more of the nutrients needed to maintain and live a healthy life.
In Conclusion, eating health has to become first priority in the life of my own and the rest of the world it they want to live a healthy life. Variety, following the food pyramid, and proper serving sizes are key to having a healthy diet and maintaining the correct wait for your age and height and activity level.
