The customer and top management are regularly kept abreast of the progress of the project keeping in mind the profit and cost minimisation objectives since it is the main drive in a commercial environment. In a commercial environment, on completion of the project, the project team will entirely be dissolved and the project manager will be resolved off his duties. Since project managers will be out of the job on completion of the project, to ensure continued existence they continuously work on proposals seeking out projects that may extend or be an improvement on the existing project. In Zimbabwe an association of project managers and practitioners known as Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ) with a membership base of over 1000 was created to develop and nurture the strategic capabilities of project managers so that they remain abreast of the developments in project work both on a national and international level. The construction of the Joina City shopping mall was entirely based on the notion of profit making.
