1.1 Major Findings

Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc. operates and franchises bakery stores in the Philippines and internationally. It was founded in 1966 and is based in Mandaluyong City, the Philippines. Today, Goldilocks has become a global brand, expanding to over a total of 250 stores in the Philippines and overseas; and hiring thousands of local employees. The opening day total sales of P574 back in 1966 have multiplied thousands of times over reaching system-wide sales of P5.9 billion by the end of 2007. For the most Filipinos, the Goldilocks fairytale has two versions: golden-haired lass who encounter the three bears, and the bakeshop that has become an integral part of the Filipino way of life. The chain was named after Goldilocks, a character from the fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. A Goldilocks Bakeshop branch at SM City Clark in Angeles City (with old company logo). Goldilocks Bakeshop in SM City Baliuag.
Goldilocks was first opened in 1966 as a family business and started in a one-door apartment of a two-story structure on Pasong Tamo Street, Makati City. It has established 192 branches throughout the islands.
Two young women, sisters Milagros Leelin Yee and Clarita Leelin Go, now affectionately known by everyone else in the business as "The Two Moms", started the original Filipino Goldilocks, buoyed by the compliments they received on their home baking, particularly the fabulous cakes they took to their friends and relatives on every occasion.
Along with their sister-in-law, Doris, started this team long before there was a bakeshop. They decided to open a small bakeshop along to the Pasong Tamo Street,Makati.
