Everyone knows that good food is a basic need of human body. People think we eat any food to stay alive. Yes, we eat to stay alive, but there’s much more to it than that. The problem is that we particular seem to have lost track of what good food is. We now no longer can judge for ourselves what is safe to eat and what is not, what is good for our bodies and what is not, where to eat, how many times a day to eat, how long a meal should last, or whether or not it is important to eat with other people. I learned that many people I know don’t take the time physically and mentally to know about the food.
I like the idea spend more, eat less that Michael Pollan mentioned in his article. I agree with him hundred percent. Americans are as addicted to cheap food. Spend more money on good food than eating more and unhealthy. You rather eat less healthy food rather than more food but unhealthy. People need to take their time to find out what they eat and spend more money for organic products at the farmer’s market. All this cheep food is making us fat and sick. It is also bad for the health of the environment. The simplest way to do this is to buy healthier foods and eat less overall. But can people afford to buy and eat healthfully if they’re poor? Don’t be expecting the poor people to be eating healthy because they are trying to eat cheap food so they can save money for other things.
