Hillary Clinton was born in Chicago in 1947. Her life in politics began when she was very young with help from her teachers and parents. She was the first lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1983 to 1992. From 1992 to 2001 Hillary was the first lady of the United States when her husband Bill Clinton was the president of the United States. From 2001 to January 2009 Hillary worked from New York as the United States senator. On January 21st she assumed office as the 67th United States Secretary of State.

Another reason Hillary entered the world of politics is because of her minister she met Martin Luther King Jr. in Chicago in 1962. She also acted like her parents who were both concerned with issues of social justice and were anti communist.

In 1965 Hillary entered Wellesley College and majored in political science. She served as the schools president of young Republicans. In her junior year she supported the anti war presidential campaign. She became president of college government association. In 1969 she graduated with a bachelor of arts and she became the first student to deliver their commencement address. That summer she took a job washing dishes and sliming salmon. She entered Yale law school and worked in the child study center. She also gave free advice to the poor. In 1971 in Yale she met bill Clinton and they began dating. That summer she worked at a law firm in California and in 1973 she received a juris doctor degree.

In 1974 she was a member of the impeachment staff in Washington dc and helped in the resignation of Richard Nixon. She moved to Arkansas with Bill once she passed the Arkansas exam. On October 11th 1975 Hillary married Bill and they lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In 1976 Bill was elected the Attorney General of Arkansas and they moved to Little Rock.
